There have been two very important events at Jackson Headquarters this week. First was my lovely mummy’s birthday, and second was FA Cup Final day.

I took mum to the cinema to watch Salmon Fishing In The Yemen as a little birthday treat and to say a big thank you for everything she does for us, which is a lot. We both utterly adored the film; it was funny and heartwarming in equal quantities.

I wanted to get a special gift from Jude to show her just how much she means to him so we took a little visit to a pottery cafe and made a beautiful coaster painted with Jude’s footprint. The results were fabulous and Grandma loved her very personal gift from our little man.

Here he is making his masterpiece…

And here is the final piece…

And so to the other man in my life and his great love affair with Liverpool Football Club and all things football related. For those of you that are not married to a sports mad husband, or if you happen to have lived under a rock recently, it was FA Cup Final day yesterday, Liverpool versus Chelsea; and as luck would have it, I secured tickets for David and I to watch the match live at Wembley. It was a fabulous day and although our team didn’t win, spirits remained high and we were kept entertained throughout the match with a superbly animated Scouse in the row behind us who turned the air blue with his vocabulary. One couldn’t help but laugh at his brilliant quick wit and sharp tongue and I’m sure he’d have had a few strong words for the boys at halftime in the changing rooms if he was manager.

It was really strange to be together without Jude for the day but it was lovely to spend some time with each other and have some fun…

I hope you are all having a wonderful bank holiday weekend and thank you for stopping by and reading this post.
